The Sewing Bug is pleased to offer a layby service on the full range of sewing machines, overlockers, accessories and cabinets.
Layby duration is 6 weeks for purchases under $1000 and 12 weeks for purchases over $1000.
The following is a list of our terms and conditions.
We will record a Description, Price, Deposit, Balance, Payment interval and Due date in our lay-by book.
Every time you make a payment we will take this off your outstanding balance in the book. You may view this book at any time.
There are no Lay-by fees unless cancellation occurs.
We will set aside your goods and label them for you and you may inspect your goods at any time.
If goods are not in stock when you lay-by them, you will be advised.
Once the goods have arrived they will be set aside and we will notify you.
We will supply you with a copy of the Lay-by Sales Agreement Act.
Pay a deposit not more than 20%, with regular fortnightly payments following (with completion at either 6 or 12 weeks).
Retain your receipts as proof of payment and to bring this agreement with attached receipts when making a payment.
To notify us of any change in your address or contact phone number.
Collect the goods on or before the date specified in this agreement.
You may cancel your lay-by at any time before making your final payment.
You must inform us in writing.
You may request an itemised cancellation statement in your letter.
You will receive a full refund of any amounts you have paid less cancellation fees below.
We may cancel your lay-by if you substantially breach your agreement for example, if you fail to make your lay-by payments or your lay-by is overdue.
We will inform you of the cancellation in writing, giving you 14 days notice, a cancellation date and an itemised cancellation statement.
At that stage you can still complete your lay-by by paying out the lay-by before the cancellation date.
Lay-by fee of $5.00 per item and a Storage fee of $1 per week per item.
You may also be charged any difference in price between the agreed sale price and the recommended retail price at cancellation.
